Waiting on word of the big failed drive, but an old friend went digging in her basement and found other old drives. They had some missing stuff, including the full size of these featuring @madzuko.bsky.social from back in the day.

I want to see one, ONE elected congressional rep other than AOC and Jasmine Crockett respond with a level of rage and disgust for these operatives that is at least equivalent to what their base is feeling
ICE detain father shopping on Christmas Eve—then steal his family's groceries.

Then 3 agents divvy up his paid for food—taking what they want for themselves.

"Can I just get the wife's number to call and let her know?" woman asks.

"No, guess he should've complied," agent says.

Every Democrat running for office needs to promise investigations and full prosecutions from top to bottom, remove its funding bloat then break up the agency and distribute its core remaining useful functions across other agencies.

I did not understand this: one of the five Europeans the US has barred from traveling to the United States...is a permanent resident who lives with his family in the US.

Now he is worried about being arrested and deported for the crime of monitoring online hate.

Watched Gremlins and Goonies yesterday and it made me nostalgic not for the 80s but for pop culture where bankers, yuppies, and capitalist greed were the enemies
Doing our annual watch of the anti-capitalist classic Scrooged. I saw it in the theater as a kid and I could never understand how people didn't change their approach to life afterwards. Capitalism is very resilient.

He started simply, with the sugar cookies, cut using her cutters into all the familiar shapes, iced with her trademark…

A small (personal) example of this book’s intellectual dishonesty:

My father-in-law is reading In Covid’s Wake, and excitedly told me he found a passage where I’m quoted. The quote in question is me saying the FBI worked to censor speech on social media.

Huh? When did I say that?!

When I was on my last jury both the judge and prosecutor told us “if somebody walks in soaking wet with a wet umbrella, you are allowed to infer it’s raining” over and over again. Good enough to send an average guy down for murder, not good enough for the President.
What we’re being told is that a guy who is an adjudicated rapist, who was credibly accused of sexual assault by dozens of women, who paid hush money to a porn star, who cheated on all his wives, who is mentioned hundreds of times in the Epstein files, couldn’t possibly be a sexual predator.
