And truth was paramount
We were older then
And we lived our life without any doubt

There are so many things, so many more important things…

But ffs, paper mâché isn’t “weak paper.” It’s like, the whole point of paper mâché is that it’s not weak.
Trump: It was like paper mache. You know what paper mache is? It's weak paper.

Don’t let Musk build a catapult in the moon. He fancies himself a Heinleinian hero. He will absolutely use it to vaporize Earth cities from space.

I wonder how long it would take Michael Valentine Smith to grok Musk as a wrong thing and disappear him?

Voter suppression is fraudulent, too.

What’s the exact opposite of a Midas Touch? A Trump Touch?
Wouldn’t it be great if crypto bankrupts him

All that grifting, shot to hell?

To quote the great Billy Madison, don’t think about it, just hand it over.
Exclusive: A U.S. official has alleged wrongdoing by U.S. spy chief Tulsi Gabbard in a complaint that is so highly classified it has sparked months of wrangling over how to share it with Congress, according to people familiar with the matter.
Classified Whistleblower Complaint About Tulsi Gabbard Stalls Within Her Agency
Congress hasn’t seen the complaint, which was filed eight months ago with the U.S. intelligence community watchdog’s office.

So this is how a presidential campaign ends… with a lack of thunderous applause.
ten years ago today no one clapped

Published a little flash fiction story on the website. The idea came to me in the middle of a workday, and I finally had a minute to scribble it out.

He was a bad boy. She was a straight-laced woman of science. Everyone warned her he was bad news. She knew she could change him.

Rich, coming from the scofflaw and disorder president.
Trump: "There was a time that you weren't allowed to use the words 'law and order.' You weren't allowed to use the term 'Christmas.' Merry Christmas, everybody, right? We brought that back."

There’s this scene in The Adventures of Baron Munchausen where the Baron and his party are climbing a rope from the moon to the earth. They run out of rope, and the Baron climbs back up. He returns with more rope to tie onto the bottom. “Where did you get this?” he is asked. “I cut it from the top.”
TRUMP: Didn't I just give the farmers $12 billion?

REP. ZACH NUNN: $66 billion in total

TRUMP: They were treated unfairly by foreign countries. You know where I got it? Tariffs

“We never got anything other than relative peace and prosperity for a generation.”
Trump: "What we have gotten out of NATO is nothing except to protect Europe from the USSR and now Russia. We've helped them for so many years, and we never got anything. Except we pay for NATO…All we're asking for is Greenland, including right, title, and ownership."

This is how Christopher Caldwell begins his essay on Zohran Mamdani for the Claremont Review of Books.

There used to be a website that tried to do this. It was also home to pretty substantial UGC for every show imaginable. Episode summaries, cast lists, you name it. Had a great community.

RIP, tv.com.
Seems like a basic failure that the internet refuses to tell you where a movie is streaming. Netflix is not streaming this movie!!

This sort of thing reminds me of when the home crowd starts chirping the visiting goalie after a one-goal lead. Just a bit premature.

I know we’re all the heroes of our own stories, but building memorials to yourself seems like the sort of hubris Greek playwrights warned about.
As CBS News falls apart please admire this marble bust of Bari Weiss that is installed at the fake unaccredited university she co-founded with Joe Lonsdale.

Their U. of Austin is reportedly also falling apart, with faculty leaving and enrollment crashing, so we shall see where the bust ends up.

The scofflaw and disorder president.
Trump doesn’t care about laws or rules. He does what he wants. His followers think that’s great…until they find out it isn’t. Which shows how grossly unAmerican and unpatriotic all of maga is.

Trump knows only Congress has the express authority to change or alter the name of the Kennedy Center for performing arts but as usual that didn't stop the malignant narcissist from adding his name to the bldg which is being done as we speak.
