Of VC-backed products, 78% fail:

42% fail because nobody wants them.
17% because they don't really solve the problem they claim to solve.
19% because they were no different from competing products or couldn't evolve with the market.

And that's just VC-backed companies.

AEC disclosures show more than $138 million in political funding in 2024–25 had no declared source under the current rules.

When dark money & big donors shape our politics, public trust suffers. Australians deserve govts that are not fundraising from industries that profit when policy is weakened.

The difference?

The case for banning fossil fuel donations
In the grand scheme of things, it’s not much money. This is part of what makes it so sad. The country’s politicians have sold out the climate for little more than a rounding error on projects that will continue for decades.

Defund the NSW police. I haven’t really thought deeply about the defund police line of argument before but it is crystal clear they need to be demilitarized completely. All of it. #nswpol #auspol Monday was an embarrassment. Minns attempted characterization of the protest as a riot is pure fiction.

EVs are propelled by entirely different mechanisms. Energy enters the vehicle as electricity, which directly powers the drivetrain making it 3-4x more efficient.
