I think it is important that Greg Bovino, personally, is prosecuted for what he has done and continues to do in service of all of this
Bovino shamelessly lies: "This looks like a situation where an individual wanted to do maximum damage and massacre law enforcement"

I have had an extremely challenging week health-wise and I just wanted to note there are many people I need to be contacting and making arrangements with; I am behind in every manner of business but hoping to get my shit tied back together in the next day and a half or so. Apologies.

The Trump administration is a project of lies. It is an enterprise of corruption, theft, and vandalism in total opposition to moral and historical truth. It's also fresh proof that bigots are the most fragile little bitches on the face of the planet.
Crews today dismantled plaques telling the stories of enslaved people who lived in the President's House in Philadelphia following orders by President Trump and Interior Secretary Burgum to remove content at national parks that “inappropriately disparage” the US. 6abc.com/post/philade...

Taunting is not a justification for arbitrary executions. Collective guilt is contrary to the rule of the law. Resisting the state— even if unlawful and prosecutable—doesn’t justify a death sentence. Our colonial ancestors rejected that agents of the state are absolutely immune for their wrongdoing.

This is quite literally Trump declaring himself a dictator and the Times is framing it like “Trump’s bold new redefinition of executive power.” This is anathema to the whole project of America and the republicans enabling it need their feet held to the fire and our media won’t do it.
This bizarre and dangerous claim violates literally every section of our Constitution, which was built by geniuses explicitly to limit individual power.

Those entrusted with enforcing our Constitution have a duty to every Conservative and Liberal American. A duty to act. Now.

I remain convinced that if the mainstream media simply treated this administration the same way it treated the Biden administration *or even Trump 1*, this one would already have collapsed less than a year in. These people are deeply, fundamentally insecure and terrified of any resistance.

The vice-president of the land of the free and the home of the brave, everybody. Say a prayer for the guy who shot a 37-year-old mother in cold blood. He "deserves a debt of gratitude."
JD Vance: "It was a legitimate law enforcement operation. We were going door to door to try to find criminal illegal aliens and deport them from the United States ... say a prayer for that agent ... he deserves a debt of gratitude."

Like those before it, that insane, vile DHS statement about the Minneapolis shooting isn't about covering anything up. It's performative lying.

They aren't trying to persuade anyone that their agents did nothing wrong. They're trying to project that their agents can get away with anything.

DHS should go away. This should be a real goal, to unwind this un-American beast created by the War on Terror. Send the agencies under its umbrella back to their historic homes. Maybe save TSA and send it to DOT. But nuke the rest of it.

I want to find the consultant who convinced Dems to stick with this framing, tie them to a stake, light a match, and tell everyone they have to decide between caring about saving them or caring about milk being 2% cheaper
The White House is laser focused on threatening a military takeover of Greenland.

Where’s the same focus on lowering costs?

Whew... Blakes 7.

The fourth series of Blackadder.

I was finding season three of The Good Place just adequate, but the finale was a heartbreaking leap back to form.

TNG's "All Good Things" deserves credit for going out so solidly on its own terms and for such a perfect last scene.

"Saul Gone."
Given that apparently the Stranger Things finale was meh (idk, didn't watch it, just the scuttlebutt) and we're not that far removed from the disastrous GOT finale that retroactively made everyone have never cared about the show:

What's the *best* ending to a show you've ever seen? Quote/reply etc

Never let a single goddamned person on the Right ever claim again that they’re the party of law and order without laughing in their lying face.
So Capitol Police officers were assaulted and injured on Jan 6th, the White House today is blaming them for the violence, and the people who attacked them have been pardoned and are back to mock and abuse them on the 5th anniversary.

And the GOP is the party of the police? Really? REALLY??
White House's newly-posted "timeline" of Jan 6 blames Capitol Police for Jan 6, which included an attack on ..... Capitol Police

Tech companies are not seriously trying to build sustainable platforms or businesses. We are not the market anymore. Their market is investors and their sole business goal is duping as many gullible investors as they can this quarter.
my 75yo mother told me last night that she’s planning to delete Instagram and Facebook because she’s sick of not being able to tell what’s AI and what’s not, and I genuinely don’t think tech companies have reckoned with this kind of move as an actual possibility
