A coworker took this from her apartment. I haven't seen a crowd this size before. Maybe the first Women's March? But it was much much warmer that day. ICE OUT OF MINNESOTA!

Watching these videos of ICE attacking children, I can’t help but think about how many of these men first practiced their violence in their own homes.

Domestic violence teaches our oppressors to dehumanize the most vulnerable among us.

There's no daylight between the Gestapo and ICE. None. Murdering kidnapping, raping, child molestation, trafficking, beating innocent people. If you have a Rep who isn't calling to abolish immediately then they work for the Gestapo. Anyone who tells you that you're overreacting is one of them too

Congrats @rabihalameddine.bsky.social!! His books are phenomenal--so excited to read the new one. And check out his BlueSky if you haven't already; it's without question one of THE reasons to remain on this site.
In his wry, idiosyncratic novels, Rabih Alameddine, who won the National Book Award last month, has attempted to wrestle with the terrifying arbitrariness of fate, Lily Meyer writes:

Rabih Alameddine, who won the National Book Award last month, has described his idiosyncratic approach as “childish rebelliousness.”

yeah I mean it’s genuinely sad that the “reasonable old school” Republican (who Dems eagerly and unanimously voted to confirm) is out here doing pressers blatantly geeked out coke and it’s not subtle
