#watercontamination #nzpol Oh yeah and publicity wise for our "clean green image" just remember New Brighton, at the epicentre of the alert, was the finish line for the Coast-to-Coast two-day race that started on the West Coast.

'Instant' boil water systems do not boil water sufficiently. It is OK to use jugs with an automatic cut-off switch as long as they are full. Do not hold the switch down to increase boiling time. Take care when bathing and showering so that you don't swallow water. 3/n

Water, water everywhere.
Can't drink it, can't swim in it, can't survive it.
Remember clean green? Being proud of AoNZ?
We need serious leadership.

The area of Ōtautahi currently known to be affected by bacteria. Those local will notice a lot of this is also areas where the smell from the poo ponds plant (effected by fire a few years back) is causing nausea and headaches to residents still.

National posted an ad comparing the highest inflation under Labour (7.3% in 2022) vs 3.1% today. They forgot to mention that this is up from 2.2% in 2024, that inflation was high everywhere in 2022, and that Labour had lower inflation for their first 4 years

Sigh. As a protein biochemistry who loved working in biosecurity I just don't get how anyone can deem it slashable? Like many areas we need MORE people not less.
#nzpol This seriously is the dumbest and most destructive government we have ever had. 🤦
We’re pretty good at eradicating things, but our idiot government has been cutting biosecurity funding so who knows. www.farmersweekly.co.nz/politics/bio...
