Governor Gavin #Newsom describing #Trump as an "invasive species" was the unexpected dose of #political fertilizer my spirit needed. That's a five-star political burn.

The irony of Trump dismissing the Epstein files as a “hoax”, usurping the power of Congress, and trampling on the DOJ’s independence is that any attempt to stop the release of files only adds to the appearance of a cover up.

Trump's desire for control could be his undoing.

Just so we are clear. If something passes in the Senate it still needs to pass in the House. Even then without a 60 vote count it could get vetoed by Trump.

So all this talk about assertions and promises made to the 8 Democrats by Republicans is all assuming that all happens.

REPHRASING THIS THREAD:

The FIRST PART of this is actually a good summary of what happened.

The first paragraph is important: A lot of people do indeed seem to be under the impression that ALL of the ACA tax credits are expiring.. They aren't. They're becoming FAR LESS GENEROUS. 1/
Now for some levity and logic based in facts.

Don’t hold your breath! This will never happen.
BREAKING: Trump says that Every American, who isn't a High Income earner, will get $2000 in Cash.

In other words he wants to issue a stimulus check because the economy is sucking.

In other words he wants to increase our deficit by $650 BILLION.

Trump‘s brilliant plan of 50 year mortgages means that after your first 20 years making huge interest payments to a bank you will have paid down almost none of the principal and they will still own the house you are living in with 30 years to go. A scam from a career con man.

Newsom: "It's not about rule of law anymore. It's rule of Don. He's choosing which court decisions he agrees with. He's quite literally running an extortion racket. He's doing it with some of the most powerful corporate leaders. What does everything have in common? Tariffs. They're about leverage"

It's worse than most people can imagine.
And what's worse than even that is using all his powers to starve millions of children.
And what's worse that even THAT is all those who aid and abet and actually SUPPORT him in all this.

He was just mad because someone else was getting the attention due to him.
The Sociopath-In-Chief couldn't be bothered to even turn his head in the direction of a man in the midst of a medical emergency who collapsed in his office. Completely incapable of empathy, the EPSTEIN Files can't be released soon enough.

Republicans have had full control of the House, Senate and White House for 291 days.

Yet, not a single one has been spent lowering costs or protecting health care.

Instead, Republicans created a health care crisis, shut down the government and went on vacation for 7 weeks.
