The Trump Administration has been trying to cut and gut SNAP for a long time now.
It should come as no surprise that they aren’t willing to use the $5 billion emergency fund that exists for moments like this to ensure that 40 million people in this country don’t go hungry.

Look, as bad as 2008 was, at least it was a systemic crisis of capitalism, caused by an accumulation of policies and infinitesimal bad decisions. This one now is caused by a single guy who’s been given autocratic powers, and who’s crazy enough to think bilateral trade deficits shouldn’t exist.

Young folk, did you know that the ACA got rid of something called Pre-Existing Conditions? Before the ACA, insurance companies could deny care or coverage because you had any number of conditions (even unrelated ones to what you needed care for), including simply being pregnant!

Young folk, did you know that the ACA got rid of something called Pre-Existing Conditions? Before the ACA, insurance companies could deny care or coverage because you had any number of conditions (even unrelated ones to what you needed care for), including simply being pregnant!
