Sometimes other languages just do it better than your native language. It's fun to share in the language of the world. I think it's also one of the natural paths of evolution for language too. It's weird to be precious about how it's used (kinkwise or not).

The rules don't work for everyone. I feel like in this day and age this should be more apparent than ever but just because one artist or even several swear by a specific approach it doesn't mean you must take this approach forsaking all others. Play around in the space. Explore. Dabble with glee.
