Sorry I haven't been on here for the last few weeks. Life has thrown everything at me. There's a family emergency. I have a procedure to do next week. Today, the neighbor's metal patio cover blew onto our roof. And I still have to schedule for a rotting tooth to be pulled. I'm a bit overwhelmed. 😔

I just played the demo for Is This Seat Taken and it's quite cute and engaging. Makes you think, but not too hard. Looking forward to the full release!
Over the weekend we played our first game of Galactic Cruise. It was brain-burning with lots of positive player interactions. And the 2 player bot is pretty good. Set it up to play again, hopefully some night this week!

I'm not one for horror, but there are some psychological horror video games I can handle, like Doki Doki. Turns out, Slay the Princess is one of them. Honestly, it's an amazing game & I'm surprised at how much I laughed. Good balance of humor & horror that isn't too grotesque. Highly recommend! 👍

We got a used copy of Hadara & knew the top part of the dial connector had been lost. It still works for gameplay, but it won’t stay attached when put away. We contacted the publisher, but it’s not a current game in their catalog & don’t have any extra parts. Mildly annoying, but understandable.

Over the weekend, we played Fromage 2x. The game was engaging & enjoyable. 4 mini games to balance w/3 workers. Actions take 1-3 turns to complete, so it’s tricky to not tie up your workers. Lots of setup variability! Rotating board is a little clunky, but works. Definitely a keeper! 🧀

Sad to say, Rock Hard 1977 isn't for us. Don't recommend for 2 players. Higher player counts should enjoy... if you like a strategic game that is often thrown off by randomness. More ameri-thrash than euro, it contains a few negative loops we didn't like mechanically. But it's very very thematic!
Last night, we learned how to play Rock Hard 1977. We played a few rounds before I got too tired.
So far, I like it. Really great theme. The player board amps are really cool! Not sure the 2p bot adds anything.🤔
Hopefully we can finish the game today before we have to leave for turkey day dinner.
