Over the weekend we played our first game of Galactic Cruise. It was brain-burning with lots of positive player interactions. And the 2 player bot is pretty good. Set it up to play again, hopefully some night this week!

We got a used copy of Hadara & knew the top part of the dial connector had been lost. It still works for gameplay, but it won’t stay attached when put away. We contacted the publisher, but it’s not a current game in their catalog & don’t have any extra parts. Mildly annoying, but understandable.

Over the weekend, we played Fromage 2x. The game was engaging & enjoyable. 4 mini games to balance w/3 workers. Actions take 1-3 turns to complete, so it’s tricky to not tie up your workers. Lots of setup variability! Rotating board is a little clunky, but works. Definitely a keeper! 🧀

Here's my #BGStats for November. Lot of great #boardgames played. Favorites are Castle Combo, Let's Go To Japan, Your Best Life, Everstone and Fromage. Hoping to play Fromage again today, to solidify opinions, but I know already that it's a keeper! But dang does it make me hungry for cheese. lol.
Last night, we learned how to play Rock Hard 1977. We played a few rounds before I got too tired.

Last night, we learned how to play Rock Hard 1977. We played a few rounds before I got too tired.
So far, I like it. Really great theme. The player board amps are really cool! Not sure the 2p bot adds anything.🤔

One of the LEGO sets we recently built was the new Botanical Garden. This was such a fun build! Never got bored putting it together. So many plants that I know nothing about, but everything looks so cool. I love when LEGO uses pieces in interesting and unique ways.

Since I got new board game pins (Wyrmspan), I took pics of my board game pin banner, so y'all can see the whole collection. I have tons more non-board game related pins, but I haven’t fully organized those banners. Still on my to-do list.

Got new shinies (enamel pins) in the mail! I love collecting pins, but don’t get board game ones too often. Most are only available at conventions, which I don’t go to. So it’s nice to see a publisher make them available online. Plus, I couldn’t resist speckled green eggs for Wyrmspan! 😍

Today is my last day of work for the month! Woot! While next week will still be busy, I’m hoping to get some board games to the table. Here are some recent arrivals. I'm excited to play them all! 😊🎉

This month, Will & I managed to get a few board games to the table. Have you played any of these?
We enjoyed most of these, but a few had poor rules. I get that rules are hard to write, but it felt like they weren’t blind playtested or hired an editor. Made for some very frustrating experiences. 🫤

Favorite game of the month is Slay the Spire board game! The co-op experience we always wanted from the video game! 😍👍

We’ve been really enjoying Slay The Spire board game! It’s been giving us the co-op experience we always wanted from the video game. The mechanisms are streamlined and gameplay is so engaging and rewarding! Love unlocking new cards at game’s end. Highly recommend! 😊👍

Very excited that Slay the Spire board game has arrived! The only thing I’m not looking forward to is sleeving all the cards. Can’t skip that because it’s a mechanism used in the game to upgrade your cards. 😣

Well, I've joined the colorblind club. I'm partially Tritan colorblind (87%) according to the enchroma test. It's an aging thing, apparently, as my eyes are yellowing, I have more trouble with blue. Over the past few years, telling pink and purple apart has been hard for some shades. 😔

Colab is here! It’s another game I’ve been anxious to get. Not only does it have amazing production, but it has “have this” positive player interactions that I’ve wanted to see more of in competitive games. I’m really hopeful it succeeds here! 🤞💙

We got Atlas Lost in the mail! I know I say I'm excited for a lot of games, but this one looks really good! It's a tech-tree, resource management and Civilization game! We love all those things so really hopeful it all comes together well here.

Here's my BG Stats for February. After a few terrible months, we slowly got back to playing games. Favorite plays were Wyrmspan and Dominion. The new Dominion app is fantastic! We'll be reviewing it soon, along with some of these games.
