WWE realised a while ago that the first time the women had a gimmick match, like a Rumble or a TLC match, they could put it in the main event and then never bother prioritising it again. AEW didn't even try that for Blood and Guts.

Surely somebody who had to prove their competence and their worth again and again like Gail Kim did - and who made their name with matches against bigger opponents - should know better.

Highest 2 Lowest is a stressful watch, not least because everything and everyone is so carefully choreographed that even people you're meant to trust seem dodgy as fuck at points. I'm glad we've got Spike Lee but he drives me mad sometimes.

If ever there was a time for AEW to stoop to WWE's level for counter-programming, it's to outdraw a Saudi WrestleMania. Do a stadium show in a city the fans can actually visit, have the whole indie weekender around. You know Tony's petty enough.
