1. The Trump administration has just quietly updated the State Department website to indicate that it may invalidate transgender people's passports.

This comes a week after a SCOTUS ruling blocking lower rulings allowing trans people to update them.

b) this collection has some lines in that have made me cackle
c) this collection will break your heart and,

I’ve been saying this for a while. Reducing the definition of a woman to biological functions is a bewildering position for a feminist to take, and once you start doing it to yourselves, it becomes much easier for men to do it.

Who had "biology is destiny, after all" on their feminist bingo card? The answer is "no one," because it's the complete antithesis of everything feminism stands for. And if that isn't obvious enough, just look at who's pushing it: every authoritarian fascist in the world, without exception.
As a cis woman I’m actually super stoked to uncouple the concept of fecundity from the concept of cis woman & given that feminism has been trying to do this exact thing for decades (centuries?) it’s baffling to see ‘feminists’ being like ‘no ACKTUALLY women ARE defined by their ability to reproduce’

'the fact that the 'gender critical' are willing to go ballistic because a trans person appeared on tv is yet more evidence that their campaign is not about women's toilets. It is about eradicating the trans community.' Billy Bragg
Quite so.
Victoria's response to kamikazi transphobe Linehan reminds us that angry men are happy to harass women in the name of (checks notes) women's rights and that if a trans woman appearing on tv sends them ballistic then this is not about women's rights, it's about the eradication of the trans community
