one dumb thought a day, guaranteed
Saying, "Sorry this is so long!!" at the end of a 2-minute voice note with someone who is not one of the handful of people I regularly send 10-minute voice notes to.

funny how so much of working in an office is finding a civil way to say, "you fucking child, fine, whatever, I'll just do it."

Still thinking about the wasted older dude walking down Passyunk early this morning, alternating between singing "Fly Eagles Fly" and "Who Let the Dogs Out" except as "Where is my dog at! Woof woof woof woof"

Watching my niece this week and forcing a mention of "her parents" into every casual interaction with a stranger, like a hot girl dropping "my boyfriend," to avoid stolen parental valor.

Dog training podcasts I've been ignoring for the past few months, it's your time to shine
My apologies to all the political podcasts I usually have because there’s no way I’m listening to them for a few months but congratulations to all the podcasts where guys review old episodes of TJ Hooker or various menu items at the Cheesecake Factory because you’re in the queue

I'm reading a book about old-time mining and the job seems to be mostly about drinking coffee, cursing, and doing foolhardy shit, and I think I missed my calling.

Watching Firestarter. It's a fucking vibe, but makes me wonder: did they not have Stop Drop and Roll in the 80s?

My first 20-mile training run last week did not go so well, but my second go at it today was much better! (You can tell because this time, I didn't recite the Litany Against Fear to myself even once!)

Spending a lot of time running lately thinking about what I could throw at people's windshields to get them to take a passing glance at me before I try to cross the street.

The Olympics rule because I just turn them on and suddenly I'm watching something that looks like dog agility but it's men in kayaks dodging around the poles.

Helped a woman from my gym move a bunch of furniture and when she offered to pay me, I had a hard time explaining that I genuinely just like carrying things and feeling strong.

Like isn't the whole point of lifting the high of casually hoisting something heavy in day to day life?
