Cafe at The Portland art museum has Rothko no. 5 cakes. Something intellectually meaty about seeing the painting in person, and then eating a cake copy. The complete experience. Full spectrum.

@mandziy.bsky.social random question, but have you ever read the queen's thief series by magen whalen turner, and if so, do you think you'd ever make a video on it? If you haven't, i'd highly recommend them as a very well written, historically inspired low fantasy series

As it has been requested and seems pertinent, the 5 Rules of Crime:

Rule 1: Where there is value, there is crime.
Rule 2: A fine is a price.
Rule 3: Nothing ever stops until a Rich White Guy goes to jail.
Rule 4: There are no Moriartys
Rule 5: Everyone can be conned.

Inspired by but not limited to the appalling bullying of Sarah McBride: I need cis people to understand that there is no level of logic, reasoning or gotchas you can apply to bathroom exclusion bullshit. The point is to prove that trans people are subhuman and cannot have access to public life.

Just started reading a fascinating book recently - it's a copy of "The Story of the Stone" or "A Dream of Red Mansions," a well known chinese novel from the 18th century. I'm reading the David Hawkes translation, and just the foreword about the history behind it has me enraptured. #booksky

I've been thinking about this poem by Langston Hughes recently and although it was published in 1931, it remains relevant as ever.

What with all the fibreoptic Internet cables on the sea floor I really think it's sad we don't have a film where a shark bites into one and accidentally uploads itself onto the web and starts eatimg people through their computers. It would be called WWW, vertically mirrored so it's like teeth.
