Ancient meets modern. The Huly Hill Cairn and what is left of its stone circle are cut by the interchange at which the M8 and M9 motorways meet and are under the final approach to Edinburgh Airport. The cairn dates back to about 2500BC. More pics and info: www.undiscoveredscot...

Day 11 of #31DaysOfGraves - Military

Many churches in Scotland house markers that once marked the graves of fallen soldiers of World War One until they were replaced by the permanent headstones erected by the (now) CWGC.

This one in Clackmannan Parish Church once marked Cpt Robert Bruce's grave.
