Bernie’s democratic socialism is still compatible with liberal democracy. Trump’s national socialism is not. Thank you for your attention to this matter!

Karoline Leavitt should resign.

They try to make us hate each other to distract from the fact that they're robbing us all blind.

It's sick.

Thread.
The story of 2024 is this: Trump had a plan to destroy American government called Project 2025, which had, literally, not a typo, a 4% approval rating. He lied constantly and said he wouldn't do it.

Then he entered office and immediately implemented AN EVEN MORE EXTREME VERSION OF IT.

Donald Trump and his lapdog GOP Congress are so against lowering health care costs that they're instead shutting down the federal government.

Food assistance thrown into jeopardy. Troops going without pay. Essential services shuttered.

This is how MAGA treats our country.

I have almost literally done this precise sequence of things.
ADHD packing list:

• 7 books you won’t read
• ipad full of movies/shows you won’t watch
• random crap that sounded important 5 minutes before you left
• extra toothbrush?

Stuff forgotten:

• toothpaste
• an entire category of clothing
• one REALLY important cable

Iran posed no imminent threat of attack to the United States. Iran was not close to building a deliverable nuclear weapon. The negotiations Israel scuttled with their strikes held the potential for success.

Not an Oscars person anymore, but watched Conclave & The Substance this wknd.

Conclave: extraordinarily well-performed, suspenseful, and surprising. Definitely one to rewatch.

The Substance: deeply unsettling and wildly strange. Demi was excellent, but I was relieved when it ended.
