I am furious and devastated that ICE was once again present in Saint Paul and that federal agents continue to jeopardize the safety and well-being of our residents. The destruction this White House has caused our city in just a matter of days is unconscionable.

Can't remember the last time I was this angry.

(What SPPD officers said about our current Mayor Melvin Carter while breaking the local separation ordinance this morning during a federal raid 👇)
A SPPD officer named T Sand said they don't have to listen to him cause he's not their boss anymore

something not mentioned in any saint paul postmortem i've seen: the massive amount of money poured into an anti-carter pac in the final two weeks. not *the* deciding factor of the race, but absolutely impactful!

I’m voting for @melvincarter.bsky.social on Tuesday, and it isn’t an especially hard choice.

There’s a lot of talk in STP about how we need to do the basics really well. A lot of that talk has come from me! It’s something I ran on because it’s something I hear all the time from folks in Ward Four.

CHOTINER: So you asked for a Birkin bag?
KOKO: Yes. Possession Bag.
CHOTINER: And you had the funds to acquire this?
KOKO: No, Professor Purchase Koko Gorilla
CHOTINER: That doesn't sound like the funds were justifiable.
KOKO: Hostility Interviewer

big day of yard sign delivery from como to the west side — and very proud to early vote for my mayor, who’s standing up for gun sense even as his opponent garners support from far-right gun extremists

Regular reminder that “not taking a position” on the Summit Trail in fact IS taking a position. It is opposing it.

Projects either happen or they don’t. If you don’t support it you are saying you don’t want it to happen.

Neighborhood activists just sued Mayor Melvin Carter’s administration, while challenger Kaohly Her, who lives on Summit, won’t pick a side.
