Local leaders in Minnesota are standing up—no longer accepting excuses and inaction when it comes to addressing the epidemic of gun violence. Together, we’re advancing local ordinances that protect our residents. The safety of our children, our families, and our neighborhoods is not up for debate.

The Alliance Bank Center site is critical to the future of our entire city. This strategic investment by the Downtown Saint Paul Development Corporation is a monumental step forward. This project will create good jobs while supporting needed growth right in the center of our downtown.

I am deeply concerned workers were arrested on a Saint Paul job site today by masked agents who refused to identify themselves. This secretive, fear-driven enforcement has become a hallmark of the president’s approach. It has no place in our country.
