This isn’t fraud prevention, it’s retaliatory disruption for over 12,000 Minnesota families who rely on these payments, many of whom live far below the state median income. Child care is a lifeline. It is not a bargaining chip. (1/2)
Acting director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Jim O’Neill said all payments through the Administration for Children and Families will require “justification and a receipt or photo evidence” before money is sent.
Trump administration says it's freezing child care funds to Minnesota after series of fraud schemes
President Donald Trump's administration announced on Tuesday that it’s freezing child care funds to Minnesota after a series of fraud schemes in recent years.

Our parks and libraries exist for learning, connection, and belonging. Commandeering them as staging grounds for federal immigration operations violates their very mission. That ends now. We will not be deterred in keeping our public spaces welcoming and free from intimidation.

Eight years in, one truth has carried our administration forward: real leadership is rooted in love. It’s designing systems that center community and share power. We didn’t just talk about equity. We built it. We changed how government shows up. When you lead with love, transformation follows.
Policy Rooted in Love (SSIR)
St. Paul sits at the heart of a growing national movement—one that insists our systems serve people, not the other way around. This movement challenges us to rethink how government operates and calls us to lead with a new kind of courage.

Wishing all a happy Thanksgiving. Let us reflect on the people and blessings that truly matter. I also extend my gratitude for our first responders, healthcare workers, military members, and service employees who are away from family. May we all find joy and connection today.

For the second time in as many weeks, federal immigration officers created chaos in our streets. While we cannot control their actions, we must not let ICE fracture the trust that we built together. We are conducting a full review of every use of force by our officers today.
