New Gillion Street by Elliot J Harper is a powerful parable about misuse of democracy with evil intent. Even more relevant now than when I read it last year. It’s also a cosy, comical, Sci Fi, mystery, and all of those elements work really well together!
Read his blog about it, including an extract:
1. Two years ago today, my debut speculative fiction novel, New Gillion Street, was published by Fly on the Wall Press. As we watch with horror the madness unfolding in Minnesota right now, my little old book has been on my mind a lot…

My wonderful publisher, Fly On The Wall Press @flyonthewallpress.bsky.social will be open to submissions soon. Nice Things, my debut story collection coming out with them in Dec, was chosen from open submission. They’ve been great to work with: efficient, communicative & knowledgable. I recommend!

Since we have had a large influx in January, this is a polite reminder that we are closed for submissions until December, and when we reopen, we will be EXCLUSIVELY accepting historical fiction. However, we will be accepting from Scotland as well as the north of England.
