Love getting sick just in time for my 4 day weekend.
I watched it high for the first time a year ago and I felt like an 8 year old. I was just commenting out loud in total wonder every few minutes.
Rewatched the original Star Wars (A New Hope) today.
Obviously 'I love Star Wars' is baked in, but if you've not watched it in a while you can easily forget that the back half of that movie is some of the most genuinely thrilling stuff on film, back to back.
1977 must not have known what hit it.

I think STAR WARS loses something when its not a big screen feature film. Andor is wonderful. I've enjoyed some comics, novels, etc here & there. But to me SW just HAS to be on the big screen to fully grab that magic.

He's right! Try as I might, I REALLY don't see it with RO. Dreary and dull with a cast of characters that never feel like more than broad tropes. Imo its the worst film of the Disney era so far.
rogue one is bad folks. i have believed this since i saw it in theaters and no subsequent rewatch has changed my mind. basically a chop job until the final sequence, which is good (for star wars)

Truly feels like this mindset is literally 80% of all film discourse online.
A lot of people are mad at movies because they aren't the movie they wanted... instead of actually engaging with the movie that's on screen. And this among the most annoying types of criticism I keep encountering.
