Iran’s authorities are committing large-scale killing of protesters while having shut down the internet, cutting off people in Iran from the rest of the world.

Iranian authorities should immediately end the bloodshed and release everyone arrested for exercising their human rights.

TLDR: A new study shows that rideshare has improved employment outcomes, social connections, and well being of people with disabilities—with the highest benefits being for those with vision/hearing or mobility disabilities. WOW. #disabilitysky #phd
I am excited to announce I am on the #EconJobMarket this year! 🎉 My research explores economic barriers for people with disabilities at the intersection of labor, public, and health economics.

If you support universal basic income, please start walking the walk this year by donating monthly to @itsafoundation.bsky.social in support of making UBI happen, because it's not going to just happen without resources.
It's Time to Walk the Walk for Universal Basic Income (UBI)
UBI means some pay more tax but most net ahead. Walk the walk now: align monthly giving with your likely net tax and help build the income floor.

This is an extremely informative resource. Visualizes range of estimates of minimum wage estimates across a large number of studies. Also really illustrates which studies are outliers.
Minimum wages increase pay, but what happens to employment? You can find estimates all over the map, but the median estimate is close to zero

Over 70 percent of published studies find a small negative or positive effect for a given wage response
