Just asserting something in a pompous tone doesn't make it true. This has been studied, and there's little evidence from Europe or the US that wealth taxes cause significant, permanent migration of the rich, or that they would in the UK.

Utterly pathetic little man.
If you're wondering how seriously Starmer takes the responsibility of PMQs, today he chose to completely dodge my question about water pollution and support for farmers - and instead rant about America, nuclear weapons, and cocaine. Utterly ridiculous behaviour.

You mean to tell me that Trump didn't check his facts? Next you'll be telling me that he didn't check the IDs of the girls on the Epstein plane.
China has the largest:

- Installed capacity of wind power (absolute)
- Output of wind farms (absolute)
- Annual additions of wind capacity

+ the same %'age share of wind as the US, NZ, Norway, Italy despite being.....extremely large

Wind generated 18% more than solar did in China, in 2024

This might as well be a party political broadcast for @greenparty.org.uk. Yes, we should obviously kick US military out of the UK if the US is threatening to annex Greenland, and yes, we should scrap trident even regardless of the current situation.
An emotional response to Trump’s bullying over Greenland will not protect Ukraine, the UK or the rest of Europe. unilaterally abandon trident risks making a bad situation worse- we need to focus on how to strengthen, not weaken our alliances and our allies, and that means prioritising the EU.

So-called environmentalist RFK Jr. is in bed with one of the most environmentally destructive industries on Earth.

The really outrageous parts of this aren't his comments on a customs union – meh, whatever – but his open admissions that he wants to cut farming regulations and is kowtowing to motor industry lobbyists to scrap the ev mandate. He is just a Tory.

But they're not going to do that, because at the end of the day Trump serves their interests pretty well perfectly, and the US is still one of the world's largest markets. What kind of toddler naivety leads you to think oligarchs would care about anything beyond that?
All it would take is for a bunch of these CEOs to confront Trump in front of the world and tell him he's unfit to run a hot-dog stand, and his presidency would be over. Seriously.

But none of them has the balls to do it.

– She was driving away
– The pig was beside, not in front of, the car
– He passes his phone to his other hand so he can reach for his gun, well before the car pulls away.
– After he shot her 3 times in the face, he called her a fucking bitch

Do you believe this scuzzbucket, or your lying eyes?
#BBCLauraK: "In what way is shooting an unarmed civilian in the streets in Minneapolis standing up for moral values?

Speaker of the House of Representatives: "If you've see the tape.. that unarmed civilian weaponised a motor vehicle"

Yes the world has seen the footage. We all know you're lying.

The Department for Education is now launching a witch hunt against anyone in the education system who opposes genocide and supports Palestinian rights, by smearing them as antisemites. @bphillipsonmp.bsky.social is full of shit and everyone knows it.

This totally undermines her position and the EHRC itself. She might as well have met with a group of white supremacists.
Chair of EHRC seeking a meeting with Sex Matters to discuss not only ‘mutual priorities’ but also ‘ways to work together going forward’! 🤔

Utterly inappropriate from a supposedly neutral Chair of the EHRC. Interested to see what will @commonswec.parliament.uk have to say?

This is more evidence of children being exposed to unnecessary and dangerous chemicals when playing in spaces that should be safe.

Solidarity with these activists. I don't doubt that the decision not to award Elbit Systems UK a new MoD contract was partly due to the hunger strikers drawing attention to this company. Hopefully, they all make full recoveries, which could be facilitated by granting them bail.

Not only is Iain Dale talking bollocks as a matter of fact, but there are also obvious reasons why we in Britain and Europe should be far louder about Gaza than Iran: our governments are arming and funding Israel's genocide.
