Reminder that Starbucks’ CEO made 6,666x more than the company's median employee in 2024.

This was the widest CEO-to-Worker pay gap in the entire S&P 500.

And we're supposed to believe Starbucks can't afford to bargain a fair contract with its unionized workers?

And invest in the NOAA research and instrumentation that underpin and advance the NWS’ tsunami warning system.
Reminder that the Tsunami Warning Centers are part of the National Weather Service. It would be nice to have them fully funded.

“If ICE was a military, it would have the 16th biggest budget in the world. You wanna talk about America First? Think about all the things we could do in this country, like giving a [hurricane] warning system to these folks in rural Texas, instead of plucking brown people out of their homes.”

New in PN: The worst chief justice of all time

"American history has no shortage of legendarily bad chief justices and disgraceful decisions. But John Roberts has overseen the wholesale corruption and capture of the Supreme Court, and history should look back on his tenure with revulsion."

Trump is taking unauthorized military action against Iran — wo Congressional approval, wo a declaration of war, and without justification under the War Powers Act. That’s a blatant abuse of power & direct path to war. If your rep does nothing, they’re failing the Constitution and should be expelled.

I don't know about you...but I'm disturbed by the amount of hell NOT being raised by leadership about masked individuals jumping out of unmarked vans, refusing to identify themselves...and just shoving people into a Goddamn vehicle and whisking them away.

Why? Why? Why? We keep asking ourselves as does the press - why is F47 doing this or that?

He’s not. He’s a figurehead. He’s incompetent. He’s impotent. Who’s running the country?

Stephen Miller and the 70% of his Cabinet members who are Project 2025 architects are running the country.

We have simple questions for all members of congress complicit in the Trump admin’s abuse of power

On Their Oath to Uphold the Constitution
1. “You swore to uphold the Constitution. How do you justify allowing ICE and CBP to detain people without a judicial warrant—violating the Fourth Amendment?”

Watching West Wing to remind ourselves of a time back when things were not batshit insane. The episode last night hit hard and this scene is perfect for our No Kings protest.

A video circulating on Reddit shows ICE officers wrestling a Hispanic construction worker to the ground while he repeatedly says that he is a US citizen.

He was reportedly detained for hours until he was eventually released.
His family said that ICE agents did release him after he was finally given the opportunity to prove he was a U.S. citizen—but only after many hours.

This construction site in Foley, Alabama was forced to shut down for at least the day. How many other businesses were affected?

Marjorie, I know the truth confuses you and facts ain’t your strong suit—so let me break it down real slow:

George Floyd didn’t die from drugs. He died because Derek Chauvin knelt on his neck for 9 minutes. That’s called murder.

What we’re watching this week is the President of the United States using his public office to personally enrich himself. He’s using the office we put him in to take bribes from foreign governments.

It’s everything our Founders feared. And we’re letting it all happen right before our eyes.
