Thanks. We have folks in our community giving vulnerable students rides to school, and a teacher shared that they were putting small stuffed animals on their dashboards to help kids identify safe cars. ICE picked up on it and started doing the same. Horrifying.

My personal rule when it comes to taking responsibility on things is that I want you to call me out if I ever say or do something thats bad. Don't be mean about it, but if you just say "hey, maybe dont say/do that", I take note and stop.

I am so sick and tired of Autistic people blaming their autism.
Autism can explain why someone might miss cues or not notice distance developing. It does not erase the impact of explicit words spoken repeatedly, especially when those words were direct, verbal, and about losing respect
