It’s the narcissist’s playbook.

1. Do something bad/stupid

2. Blame someone else (“They (or you) did this/made me do this!”)

3. Loudly claim (usually falsely) to have fixed the problem

4. Take credit for 3 (but never blame for 1) and say “Look what I did for you! You should be grateful!”
So “emergency.” Much “national security.”

Just weeks after Ron DeSantis' admin steered $10 million from a legal Medicaid settlement to a charity spearheaded by First Lady Casey DeSantis, the Hope Florida Foundation gave that same amount to two political groups favored by the DeSantises.

Just for fun I think Zuckerberg should have to say this directly to the friends I have whose books — which are *actively being marketed and sold to subsidize livelihoods* — were stolen and fed to Meta's internal AI

The Public Broadcasting Act of 1967 created the Corporation for Public Broadcasting. I reread it today; nothing in the law allows a president to defund PBS and NPR. In fact, Congress specifically sought to insulate public media from political pressure.

TRUMP: Well, they did sign up for it actually

I’m sitting at in my Marriott restaurant for breakfast and the guy a few seats over proved a point perfectly : when you say the word “tip” to your server, you’re the a-hole.

And people wonder why we have that “ugly American” title around the world.
