I have become more sympathetic to the idea that saying you can’t hold Trump voters morally culpable for Trump regime actions is patronizing. It partakes of an old and to my mind destructive left wing habit: to think of conservative white voters as not quite adults.

I talk/dream/practise/read a lot about hope as a way to imagine myself into a liveable future. This current timeline certainly makes it challenging. I’ve been stuck on hard mode but it’s my first time playing the game, and ya know? I’m tired.

I talk/dream/practise/read a lot about hope as a way to imagine myself into a liveable future. This current timeline certainly makes it challenging. I’ve been stuck on hard mode but it’s my first time playing the game, and ya know? I’m tired.

The law is systematically oppressing trans people so I'm afraid if you actually want to call yourself trans allies or a 'trans inclusive organisation' then you cannot be upholding that law. And if you aren't comfortable advising people to not legally segregate, then you were never an ally.

This is heartening and, I find, the common experience. We hear time and time again the narrative that *everyone* believes that trans people are bad, evil, whatever, and the support for this is a handful of the hateful usual suspects. Then along comes pushback and people flood in in their thousands.
Close to TWO THOUSAND academics and educators say TRANS RIGHTS NOW.
(Sorry if you've seen this (and the historians' letter!) too many times. The lack of an algorithm means we have to keep reposting it to catch people, and this really matters.)

The reality in the UK right is now the ideology of trans eradication is being given more legal protections than the reality of being trans.
And if you can't see that with everything that's going on, then you are part of the problem. Do better, listen to trans people, fight back against the bigots.

Really excited* to see UK universities/educational institutions roll back any trans protections they’ve had in place thanks to the new clarity of all being defined by how *squints* our genitals appeared at birth??? Fabulous. Love that for all of us.
