Shoutouts to everyone reading this post when they get up to pee at 2 am
As far as i can tell prostates just hang around making it hard to pee and giving everyone cancer.

So however useless you might feel, you are still better than the average prostate…

Fed society goobers like kavanaugh have basically been tabletop gamers arguing about line of sight rules in Warhammer 40k for decades, but then they finally caught the car, and that theory is now informing state practice. They’re (appropriately) terrified by the outcome
Interesting that Justice Kavanaugh decided he had to add footnote 4 to his concurrence, which addresses the "State’s underlying objections to the activities of federal immigration officers when they make immigration stops."

I can only assume the deep thinkers at the NYTimes are thinking of the titular pouty incel narcissistic manchild in troilus and criseyde, an apparent role model for all of today’s pouty incel narcissistic manchildren

On DOGE’s watch, federal spending did not go down at all. It went up. But is still led to cuts that closed offices, canceled programs and deprived people of food, medicine and other aid.

Or just keep platforming Republicans who have a 5th grade understanding of biology so they get more trans people killed, sure 🤷🏻‍♂️

The obsession with debates, rather than careful analysis and argument, is very much a part of #TheStupidestTimeline.
I get these overtures to debate this or that person and let me ask you something. Why, in god’s name, would I do that? Is this high school? Do I have abs again??? Stacked bangs? What’s debating do in 2025??

This headline is emblematic of reporting from @npr.org, @nytimes.com, et al, which inevitably hinges like this:

Trump: economy good, prices down
Polls: indicate people disagree

Instead of citing opinion polls, can’t these orgs cite actual price data about housing, gas, and eggs? Like with Biden?
Americans give President Donald Trump his worst approval ratings ever for his handling of the economy, as they also express concerns about the cost of living, healthcare prices, and personal finances, the latest PBS News/NPR/Marist poll finds. https://to.pbs.org/49g3nwx
Americans are more dissatisfied with Trump’s handling of the economy than ever, poll shows
Fifty-seven percent of Americans disapprove of how Trump is handling the economy, according to the latest PBS News/NPR/Marist poll.

“The Kiss” is one of my favorite pieces of short fiction and it’s only #168 😩
Stumbled across something very cool that would have fit into a much mourned previous iteration of the internet last night: A site devoted to ranking all of the Chekhov stories Constance Garnett translated from 1 to 201, along with providing a capsule summary of each of them
A Chekhov Circus
A reader’s companion to the stories of Anton Chekhov, with synopses and commentaries for each of the 201 stories in the classic Constance Garnett translations.
