Quite how shore nets like these are legal is beyond me. Two turnstones were trapped this morning at Rhos Point. I untangled both and they were able to fly off unharmed before being drowned by the rising tide.

Finally caught up with “Listers: A Glimpse Into Extreme Birdwatching”, and quite enjoyed it! While a bit baggy in parts and could use better editing to tighten it up, it does a good job of capturing the absurd charms of birds and birdwatching, and the extremes some go to find n list birds they see!

The arrest of Greta Thunberg for peacefully opposing genocide and supporting those on hunger strike is wrongful and disturbing.
