The fix is in for gerrymandering the Lethbridge West constituency out of existence.

They can’t win it fair and square so now they’ll cheat.

It’s highly unusual for a member of cabinet to intervene in an electoral boundaries process.

Legally, Smith has 6 months to call it, and Rachel resigned Dec 30. Generally, the classy thing to do (by convention) is to get the Opposition Leader into the House right away. Instead, Smith is waiting as long as is legal. She did the same with Leth West byelection.

No respect for the office.

Alberta’s provincial election will be held by mid-2026.

The UCP will manufacture disagreements with Ottawa and off they’ll go.

That’s what I just heard from Danielle Smith. This wasn’t a Premier’s Televised Address so much as it was a starting gun for @albertaNDP and @nenshi.

Southern Alberta’s 20+ years of low vaccination uptake coming home to roost.

There was a measles outbreak down here when my 14yo was a baby and his brother, at 2ish, was in daycare.

I lived in fear until I could get that baby vaccinated.

This is so much worse.
Measles in Alberta on 2025-05-05:
• 265 cases
• +1 in Edmonton zone
• +3 in Calgary zone
• +3 in central zone
• +48 in south zone

This story is such a cautionary tale for coal mining in Alberta…

After a foreign company was told they would need an environmental assessment for a coal mine, they had an epic temper tantrum and it took the AER 2 Years to address it!

Alberta Children & Family Services have now cut Child & Youth Support.

For how adamant Smith & the UCP were that kids need to be supported and protected a year ago, they sure seem to consistently be making them targets…

That’s Job One.
I've been seeing press about how Canada's retaliatory tariffs are making things more expensive for food banks and groups that build affordable housing, and, well, I have suggestions about what we could use the tariff money for
