I stole a small chocolate bar from kid's Halloween stash and lost one of a favourite earring pair the next day. This karmic reckoning has happened before, so I admitted to my crime. Kid was mad. I went above and beyond and bought him a regular bar.

I found my f*cking earring. This is real.
Our kid thinks we don’t “make him” do things because he’s an only child. Truthfully, we have no idea how to “make him” do anything. Do you pick up your 17yo and put him in the car? Do you drag your 17yo to an event? Gawd, no. I figured that shit out when I was 12.

“Make me” has real power.

Btw, THIS is hitting the Canadian Supreme Court soon. Perhaps that's why the GoA chose to use the NWC on teachers first? I think it's time for a national conversation on the use of sec33.

Oh, all the poor, little rage-bating cons in Ottawa and Alberta are getting some karma smack down.

Here for it.

Thanks to @markusoff.bsky.social for highlighting that anti-trans and anti-Pride legislation is still very much an expectation of the UCP base and also for illustrating that Smith is neither governing for the majority of ABs nor fulfilling her public election promises.

Alberta's premier likes to fulfil her party members' policy wishes. But do these ones coming to convention go too far?

THANKS MOE!!

(For all you true-Canuck ABs truly sick of hearing from the eastern AB separatists, here’s MOE, who I believe deserves a follow).
Do you have to live in Alberta? As an Ontarian, I’d love to see Canada remain as is

Saving serious bucks on the coffee.
With a side of frothed crème! I don’t even put coffee in it anymore just slurp it through a paper straw straight from my artisanal tumbler over grunch (gay brunch)

Forgot to add meat to the meat sauce (the same sauce I’ve been making almost weekly for the better part of 2 decades) for the second time in a month.

The brain fog, if that’s what this is, is real. I’m unhappy.
It’s annoying to be experiencing perimenopause immediately “post”-CoVid because I can’t decide if what I’m going through is normal physiologically or a disease process, and furthermore…

…what was I saying?

If Elon Musk gave away 20% of his network, which is about $170 billion or so, he’d still be the second richest man. This kind of wealth is so fucking obscene.

It was all over when I was a kid. I was the 'RRR' generation of public school. We did our work, played our part & spread the message. I can control what I do but I can't, beyond a single vote, manage the management. So, what was I told as a kid? "You are the generation to save us". Everyone punts.

So great that the NYT is running opinions that really matter to the burning world right now, in the country that lit the first match.
Why does this column exist?

Yes, work used to be SO FUN before all of the feminist hags started insisting on getting equal pay for equal work and not getting sexually harassed while on the job. It's all been downhill since.

Deep sigh.

Anything on West Fraser should be of interest to us on the east side of the Rockies given the huge tracts of land West Fraser has under forest tenure from the Government of Alberta in our headwaters - including lands in the Highwood drainage.

For all you lefties who flayed @mynamesnotgordy for standing by Carney: I need you to apologize.

He should be here right now. Someone still on Xitter needs to go get him.
