I can’t help it, this supposed turnaround for MTG is fascinating to me.
She’s lying, of course, but it is noteworthy that the feels like she has to lie and say these things. She’s a weathervane and this is a sign of the way the wind is blowing.
BASH: We have seen these attacks from the president at other people. It's not new. And I haven't heard you speak out about it until it was directed at you.

MARJORIE TAYLOR GREENE: I think that's fair criticism. And I would like to say, humbly, I'm sorry for taking part in the toxic politics.

I just don’t see how we can pretend even for a moment that anything involving our federal government is remotely normal when the president is covering up his involvement in a child sex trafficking ring. Like, what are we doing here

I sincerely hope Democrats pay attention to tonight’s results across the country. They won’t learn anything but still. Maybe. People are excited by change and original campaigns and bold ideas and candidates under the age of 50!

Things seem to be going our way already on this election night but that doesn't stop Bluesky's Eyore contingent from gloomily predicting doom in '26. Folks, it's seriously ok to feel good for a little while tonight, maybe even to gloat for a bit! Don't forget to celebrate wins, to feel some joy.

The anti-trans attacks seem to have failed in Virginia.

Virginia was the ground zero after Youngkin won on a fledgeling anti-trans platform in 2021.

This was very good then & even more appropriate now, because the total lack of elite accountability is central feature of 🇺🇸 politics & the reason all of the awful & illegal things keep happening & have since at least 1865:

Yesterday, on a holiday where kids go door to door connecting with their community, my sweet town was terrorized by government-backed thugs. Our schools locked down. We patrolled the streets, warning vulnerable people to stay inside. Helicopters circled incessantly. ICE get out.

31. 28 YEARS LATER ('25) This 3rd film focuses on tween boy trying to keep his mother alive as he searches for a Dr to cure her illness in a land plagued w/ the deadly, ravenous infected. Film boasts an unpredictable story w/ many tonal shifts well handled. A nice wrap-up to #31HorrorFilms31Days 👍🎃💀

good criticism meets the subject where it is, bad criticism is typically the result of the writer thinking every piece of art should deliver exactly what they want and expect
yeah! why is that?? some of the worst film and TV analysis and criticism i've ever read has been by leftists and left-leaning writers i otherwise greatly admire

30. KNIFE + HEART ('18) Paris, 1979. A mysterious killer is stalking the performers of a small gay porn film outfit. But why? Anne, the boss lady, investigates. This is arthouse horror at its most stylin', poetic & sexy—and it's super gay too! Icing on the bloody cake, obvs. 👍 #31HorrorFilms31Days

29. I BLAME SOCIETY ('20) Dark satire about a struggling filmmaker who turns to murder to see if that might be her ticket to success. Funniest scene: Bro-y producers cluelessly mouthing words like "intersectionality" and "ally." This movie is very 2020, which seems so long ago #31HorrorFilms31Days
