Brianna Ghey was not murdered in cold blood by a phone. Or a social media app. She was murdered in cold blood with knives plunged into her 28 times by two 15-year-olds fed a constant stream of hate and dehumanization by UK corporate media and the UK government.
Two teenagers were radicalized by the transphobic political climate into seeing a 15 year old girl as less than human. They killed the girl, and then the girl's grieving mother chose to embark on a moral panic crusade against "self-harm", acquitting the actual perpetrators of her daughter's demise.

I really wish people online would talk in good faith instead of spreading rumors and attacking other lefties and LGBTQ people, etc.
A lot of social problems online and toxic discourse would be solved if people stopped doing shit in bad faith and trying to call out innocent people over nothing.

Update: The Chicago clergy letter decrying ICE's actions and voicing a willingness on the part of clergy to put their "bodies on the line" to protest ICE has reached 250 signatures — and now includes multiple evangelical pastors/leaders of evangelical institutions in the area.
