I don’t think people realise just how dangerous this period of history is with the danger of 1930s repeating itself. There has to be away of uniting and voting tactically to exploit the divisions on the right or get Farage by default. A good podcast this.

What a damning indictment of Boris Johnson’s disingenuous response to the Hallet enquiry. What a disgrace that man is.

This is wrong and I don’t care which government tries to introduce it or who is to blame. The right to jury trial is essential to British democracy and should remain.

Bregret! As we’ve always said only Brits lost the rights that 450 million Europeans have.

That reality of the loss of FoM setting in

By a whopping two-to-one margin, voters now favor pre-Brexit 2021 immigration system to the one that has taken shape since www.politico.eu/article/labo...
Brits are pining for the pre-Brexit migration system
The idea was that leaving the bloc would give the U.K. back “control” of its borders and create a fairer system. But the widespread perception is it didn’t turn out that way.

This thread shows why I privately wonder if we should even dignify Farage’s latest vehicle with the name 'Reform UK'.

It's the Nigel Farage party – a continuation of the Nigel Farage party that has existed for two decades.

It's him, his lackeys, his policies.

And when he goes, it goes.
There seems to be some *confusion*
among Reform supporters over Nathan Gill being one of them

“But, but, Reform didn’t exist when he took his Russian bribes”

“But, but he was in UKIP”

“But, but it has nothing to do with Farage, he barely knew the guy”

So here’s a little history lesson 👍🏼🧵

Americans rarely pit themselves against the rest of the world (the World Series is a joke) but they are the absolute worst losers. No idea of sportsmanship or fair play.

Nathan Gill is no fringe politician.

He was the leader of the Reform Party and before that UKIP in Wales.

A Brexit Party MEP.

A friend and ally of Nigel Farage, who in 2016 called him:

"terrific," and "as honest as the day is long."

This is a MASSIVE story

On this one, Farage might actually be going too far for some of Reform's less diehard supporters. Even leaving aside the absurdly inflated claims of savings and the logistical nightmare it would create, the retrospective nature of the proposal goes against popular notions what is and isn't 'fair'.
Retrospectively removing indefinite leave to remain would be immoral and economically damaging. It would tear families apart.
Attacking it as ‘potentially illegal’ is completely beside the point.
Argue with the (awful) idea. Don’t try ’well, actually you can’t do that’.
