Still need more baseball?

We found a CD in our archives containing dozens of unused voice lines from MLB Slugfest 20-03 rejected by the MLB. Here's some of our favorites.

“If you inherited a movie theater, what’s your first double feature?”

Along those lines, probably not my *actual* pick but my first pick that came to mind

Forgot how much the tate mechanic in PS2 Shinobi rules. Twists your perspective on encounter design to look at it as a puzzle - how do I approach this encounter to get the perfect chain vs how do I survive. So good, but let down by the lock-on system. I’d looove to see a remaster.

If you’re building a cart in the last few hours of that Criterion sale, highly recommend CROSSING DELANCEY. 1980s Manhattan, fall, and Peter Riegert as the most charming pickle seller you’ll ever meet. A sleeper romance picture that’ll hopefully get much more attention thanks to Criterion’s new 4k.

This still holds true for another three hours for me

(going to find a unique longsword behind a waterfall guaranteed)
I am almost 40 years old and have yet to find a shotgun, medkit, or even so much as a jewel-encrusted chalice hidden behind a waterfall. I’m beginning to think video games have lied to me.

This was a real case of the box promising a completely different movie than the one you end up getting. Looks like a big city procedural thriller, ends up being a Hardy Boys-y cabin… mystery, I guess?

I’m building a lil’ CRT gaming setup and bought a beautiful used JP Panzer Dragoon the other day (s/o @pinkgorillagames.com!) without realizing it’s the 30th anniversary today!

So, here, enjoy my (very temporary) setup. I swear it’ll get nicer!

This is a real banger from an “art direction > ‘graphics’” perspective. Almost 30 years old and this still looks great!

I watched La Chimera on a plane, so does it really count? Is the air a kind of no man’s land for film viewing? Who’s to say

One of my favorite titles from that era that I nonetheless always forget about until a post like this comes up.

I was absolutely terrible at it, but the process of wobbling through these extremely 3D levels with a joystick, first carefully and then in a panic, was always great. All-timer ❤️
Happy 30th anniversary, Descent! A game I still suck at. The "360 degrees of freedom" meant that people got disorented and motion sick. It also kickstarted the race to see who released the weirdest 3D controller ever.

Today’s physical media pickups - I’m rebuilding a PS2 collection brick by brick, keeping only the hits.

… okay I also love trash and adventure games so The Davinci Code is in there too. I’m curious, so sue me

Nonetheless: watch Double Door! It rules! Gays, you will *love* Victoria Van Brett, honest.
