Republicans cut $1 trillion from Medicaid, taking away health care from tens of millions, because, fundamentally, they don't think it should exist.

You know what else they don't think should exist? Medicare and Social Security. And it's only a matter of time before they're on the chopping block.
I mentioned last week that Steelers-Ravens would be amusing because neither fanbase would have any confidence in their team winning the game, and someone said they didn't understand why Ravens fans would be worried.
this is the 4 straight year of the ravens losing in the most heartbreaking fashion possible
- 2022 tyler huntley goal line fumble-6
- 2023 zay flowers goal line fumble
- 2024 mark andrews 2pt conversion drop
- 2025 tyler loop missed FG

12 teams are tied in the "pretty good" category, then the Steelers are 13th in the "sure wish we hadn't traded George Pickens" category, then the Panthers are 14th in the "just happy to be here" category.
On Tuesday’s pod, Domonique and I are going to power rank the playoff field. Give me your 1-14 👇

Cannot wait to see how Michael Schur's QUANT-6 rankings rate the Steelers this week.

SO CLOSE!

Metcalf is somehow even luckier than Boswell tonight.
The funniest thing would be if Pittsburgh still pulls this game out but then DK Metcalf gets suspended for the last 2 games of the regular season and they blow the Ravens game to lose the division.

Not sure Warren and Gainwell will have as much success making guys miss when they catch a check down 3 yards behind the line of scrimmage against Houston, but Stroud could have a clunker as well to keep it close.
Spinzone: The Steelers offense vs the Texans defense is gonna be very funny
January 5, 2026 at 4:58 AM
Update: It was hilarious, and both teams justified their fans' lack of confidence.

Though I'm not sure the Texans are gonna embarrass the Steelers (or would've embarrassed the Ravens). They're favorites, but it could be more like a 10-6 game rather than the blowout Steelers fans are accustomed to.
Steelers-Ravens is going to be amusing because neither fan base has any confidence that their team will win, and whoever does win will ultimately just set up another embarrassing home playoff loss.

Almost every Steelers win at least the last few years follows the same pattern:

1. Slow start
2. Wake up and take control of the game
3. Let opponent back into game with boneheaded mistakes
4. Somehow (often through blind luck) snatch victory from the jaws of defeat
January 5, 2026 at 4:46 AM
Worst case scenario would be Pittsburgh loses and it makes Rodgers want to come back for one more shot.
January 5, 2026 at 4:34 AM
Obviously you'll take a touchdown there however you can get it, but using both timeouts and only leaving 4 minutes on the clock is certainly not ideal.
January 5, 2026 at 4:16 AM
The Steelers seem to have more variations of their sneak play than they have normal running plays.
January 5, 2026 at 4:06 AM
If you're not confident that you can get a yard with your sneak play there, you may as well just kick the field goal.
January 5, 2026 at 2:52 AM
All going according to plan thus far. Just don't let Baltimore score again before halftime, then go for the old switcheroo.
Game plan for the Steelers tonight: just try to keep it close in the first half, then sneak DK Metcalf in wearing Valdes-Scantling's jersey after halftime.
January 5, 2026 at 2:35 AM
Steelers really just gonna abandon the run after five carries, huh?
January 5, 2026 at 2:22 AM
"It's been a slow start offensively for the Steelers."

Yeah, it's been a slow 5+ years offensively for the Steelers.
January 5, 2026 at 2:06 AM
9 minutes into this game and both teams can legitimately complain about the terrible officiating.
January 5, 2026 at 1:46 AM
Good to see Jim Harbaugh still trying to make black and navy blue match. Used to do it all the time at Michigan as well.

The crossing guard in the State Farm commercial does an impeccable Thomas Middleditch impression, though I can't imagine there's a huge market for that.

Ja'Marr Chase, Penei Sewell, Patrick Surtain II, DeVonta Smith, Micah Parsons.

Just a few players whom the 49ers could have taken with the third pick in 2021.

They took Trey Lance instead, and lost a Super Bowl in overtime (with a different QB) a couple seasons later.

It's always kinda silly when a team with a losing record makes the playoffs, but good for Bryce Young after getting benched last year.

Also, having barely paid attention to the game yesterday, it seemed like Carolina had at least a few rough calls go against them.
January 4, 2026 at 9:15 PM
So Houston has the best defense in the NFL, huh?
January 4, 2026 at 7:55 PM
Riley Leonard's picture looks eerily similar to a young Philip Rivers.
January 4, 2026 at 7:33 PM
Game plan for the Steelers tonight: just try to keep it close in the first half, then sneak DK Metcalf in wearing Valdes-Scantling's jersey after halftime.

Both Bushes were actually still pretty popular when they did their invasions though.

Wild that Kumail is somehow the second-most surprising name on this list.
I can finally announce:

I am in the next season (series) of Taskmaster! My favorite tv show! I’ve seen every season & some multiple times! Thrilled to be with this group of hilarious sweeties.
Amy Gledhill
Joanna Page
Armando Iannucci
Joel Dommett
And me!

The fact that this sentence ended with "the next real Congress" shows what the actual problem is.

What we're seeing is that the only limits on presidential power that matter are the ones their contemporary Congress and Supreme Court enforce. All Congresses need to be "real" for our system to work.
I keep saying it but chopping down the Presidency’s unilateral powers needs to be the #1 priority of the next real Congress.
My quick take on the legality of the Venezuela invasion.
