DCU (Academy) - 0
Ethiopia (almost full) NT - 3

So much hilarity in that quote.

Probably best for the club to have Joe Mamo resume his place in the background of the ownership group.
"I hope they take it very seriously because we're playing pretty much 80% of the starters for the national team."

D.C. United co-owner Eyob Joe Mamo on how seriously he hoped the MLS club would take Ethiopia. With a team filled with academy players, here is the result.
Full time:

"D.C. United" 0
Ethiopia 3

The @dcsportsbog.bsky.social was miles ahead of its time.

Dan was instrumental in getting DC101's WaterWars into the DMV zeitgeist.

Just two youngsters trying to get some traction in a crowded media landscape.

You had an impact, Dan!
Tomorrow is my last day at The Washington Post. I'm taking a buyout. Was a thrill and I will write something else about all this at some point.

Eh, this is fine.

I'm kinda over Badji but there isn't anyone on the bench to fill that role so whatever.

Gavin Turner with a goal and assist in his first MLSNP start for Chattanooga.

It's almost as if getting professional minutes continues the development to 1st team contributions.

This is it.
“His club loved him.” Everyone said the exact same thing about Losada when he came over and look how that worked out. I’ll have hope again when we fill our DP/U22 slots (with, y’know, good players), launch an MLSNP team, and advance in (not just make) the playoffs. All smoke & mirrors until then.

Let's also think about switching out some outfield players before we go to PKs as well.
Jordan Farr saved four (4) penalties to give DCU a penalty-kick win over Charlotte FC, despite David Bingham saving three (3) penalties.

Not sure I agree with this... maybe it was planned, but if Joon is your future what better way to give him a launch pad than a PK shootout?

This is where I've landed.

Until DC bring in a player who can hold the ball and reliably distribute in midfield, Troy has to play a more traditional back 4.
This formation isn’t working for us.
