There will be another 60 vote Friday* on the garbage shutdown deal. If we can convince just one Senator from the 52 republicans and 8 Dems that voted yes to flip, we could still stop this. Please jump on the phone today, call them, and share this widely.

*If all goes by the regular schedule

COMMENTARY: Just this month, the state agency that administers SNAP announced the implementation of new restrictions that are expected to take food assistance away from thousands of West Virginians — including older adults between 55-64, veterans, parents and former foster youth, writes Kelly Allen.

📌I can't stop banging this drum: Democrats had a spectacular Tuesday at the polls, the wind at their backs, and basically punched themselves and their voters in the face five days later.

This is political malpractice at best, and out and out brazen capitulation to their billionaire donors at worst.

He is a computer safety researcher.

agreeing to make a terrible deal while your main opponent is quite literally being boo'd on live tv by an entire stadium of people is the kind of political instinct you'd normally only find in a 3 week old dead goldfish

Much like 2024, Democrats seem to think there’s a binary choice in the 2026 election between voting for Republicans (evil) and voting for Democrats (feckless).

They rarely acknowledge the third option which inevitably harms them the most: staying home.

-Nov 4, millions of Dems turn out for landslide wins in VA, NJ, NY, CA, GA, many other places.

It doesn't actually matter if Chuck Schumer votes for this or not.

If he can't keep his caucus unified to protect healthcare for over 10 million Americans, he should resign as leader.

What do you call a leader with no followers? Just a guy taking a walk.

He's not just a senator. He's the *leader*. His job isn't his personal vote. His job is to unify and lead his caucus against the regime.

This is not a deal — it's an empty promise.

Trump and his Republican Congress are making healthcare more expensive for the middle class and ending it for working families.

Time for Democrats to stand tall for affordable healthcare. www.politico.com/news/2025/11...

If the Dems blink after all of this, for a deal that all but ensures no ACA subsidies in 2026 anyway, then what was the purpose of letting the shutdown go for 40 days in the first place?

I would laugh at the idea that the GOP can be trusted on a future vote but I'm too busy screaming & cursing & pulling my hair out. We just handed the Dems huge wins last week. People are literally fighting in the streets for democracy & trying to feed neighbors all for the Dems to cave?? Hell no.

The Dems who are caving are doing so not because their base wants them to,

not because the voters want them to,

not because the fed workers and SNAP recipients want them to…

they are caving because their DONORS want them to.

And that’s really all that ever matters to the corrupt

Call his office. Tell him not to cave. Every ACA recipient deserves better than this.
Senate Democrats are meeting behind closed doors to discuss the emerging deal. “Stay tuned,” Schumer tells us with a grin.
