Ok, but for real though. Since I started working at a library all I keep telling my coworkers on how wild it is that we have a massive dvd/blueray and CD/vinyl catalogue.
2005: you can rent a movie, it’s about $5
2011: you have 1-2 subscriptions for ~$20 and can watch most things
2022: you could see almost anything — with 13 subscriptions for $150
2026: every subscription is $30 w/ads and has 3 movies, or rent for $35
~1999-present: your local library has the dvd
2011: you have 1-2 subscriptions for ~$20 and can watch most things
2022: you could see almost anything — with 13 subscriptions for $150
