Following the killings of Renée Good and Alex Pretti by federal agents in Minnesota, "Commander at Large" Gregory Bovino was reassigned away from his leadership role in the operation.

Journalist Amanda Moore notes the violent culture and widespread fear he helped create won't be so easily removed.

What about him sabotaging a US figure skater by making it impossible for her to get to the venue on time thanks to the traffic he caused?
2/ So far, NBC News is ignoring the massive booing for JD Vance at the Opening ceremonies. But it is reporting that he saw "The Last Supper" painting and watched some figure skating. Good grief.

This is Maria, a 6-year-old detained by ICE last year.

She began to unravel soon after arriving at a detention center in Texas, wetting the bed after years without accidents, crying through the night and begging to breastfeed again.

Most of all, she wanted to be reunited with her cat, Milo. 1/

Columbia cancelled my 2024 class on Race and Media, so I decided to teach it independently anyway.

I made a conscious decision to include whiteness in discussions about race.

What we learned is how much white people have been kept in the dark about white martyrs for civil rights.

I feel like Los Angeles is a place where people expect ICE to happen because the kidnappings have been happening to my home city for decades, so there’s less media attention to it now. and I want folks to see that in LA, Latine students are organizing major protests & the police are attacking them

ICE isn’t out of Minnesota. Enforcement hasn’t stopped; in many places it’s intensified. What changed wasn’t the raids, it was the coverage. As pressure grew, cameras shifted and Democrats redirected the conversation. But ICE activity in Minnesota is still very real & ongoing. #FuckICE #AbolishICE

While precip may run above avg later this month, we’ll need significant rain to make up the deficit before growing season. #ARwx
