What strikes me about these examples is that the earliest example is 85 years old.

And you know what? People aren’t static, unchanging. Who Americans are as a people now aren’t who they were then. I dont know what it means to say “some people who might be your ancestors did something bad”.
I fear my tipping point into madness is "Thus is un-American" posts in response to ICE terrorizing immigrants. I beg you to open Wikipedia (I would say a book but let's start small) and read up on The Trail of Tears, Fugitive Slave Catchers, Japanese internment, Indian Boarding schools & Jim Crow

1) Minneapolis
2) It seemed like It Happened.
3) some dude got kidnapped by his bus driver

For a few hours this week, it felt like the world and all its horrors stopped with one subject taking over the internet: Brooklyn Peltz Beckham. https://cnn.it/4qKHJa7

yeah but have you seen the American electorate
Imagine how terrible your political party has to be if you’re handed

“Jeffrey Epstein’s best friend and fellow pedophile has a masked racist occupying force terrorizing a US city where they shot a white woman in the face”

and you’re like idk man we may have a chance here, it seems possible!
"In my conversations with Democratic party operatives, flipping control of the Senate is now treated as a distinct possibility." Let's see if he can do it:

Powerwash Simulator 2 looks really good. There’s something about the lighting (maybe UE5’s Lumen?) that just makes everything look so nice and… real.

Reminds me of this now nearly two decade old story at Rogers:

Someone emailed the Rogers HQ gym members DL asking some question (with probably a thousand members). That produced the usual assortment of “uh did you just email everyone” and “please take me off the recipient list” like in the post
This is scary and also reminds of that Reply All thread at a major university where the student had simply asked about raising her grade but somehow got everyone on the staff--and they kept answering each other.

It is Bluesky at its best.

And, the bus driver needs to be in some kind of custody.

I really hope The Morning Show tried to riff on this situation.

Thank you Bari Weiss for generating such ridiculously entertaining stories.
According to Brian Stelter, 60 Minutes is finally airing the "Inside CECOT" story that Bari Weiss shelved.

She made Sharyn Alfonsi fly to DC to get an interview with Tom Homan and Kristi Noem for the segment, but both refused.

So it'll run tonight -- with no promotion and against the NFL playoffs.

An interesting case of "high on their own supply"— Trumpists apparently *believe* that weaponizing the DOJ easily gets you indictments and convictions, because they're committed to not believing that the investigations under Biden and Garland were valid and backed by lots of evidence.

My scheming vizier told me Will Stancil’s feed kept driving his interns insane so I asked him how many interns he has and he said he just goes to Hillsdale and gets a new one afterwards so I said it sounds like he’s feeding young republicans to will stencil and JD Vance started crying

“I would have taken you out and shot you” fucking dork energy there

The American electorate was too unserious and couldn’t let the black woman be leader and they elected Trump. And this is somehow the fault of the Biden administration?
Adam Tooze on professional Dems: “If you had any self-respect, you would not be on any podium again, ever, sounding off about anything. Because comrades, if we were in the 30s, I would have taken you out and shot you. You fail like this, you don’t get to come back and show off your wounds.”

I mean whether you replace ICE or rehabilitate it one of the things you must do is replace all the toxic cultural elements.

Of course, I don’t know it’s practical to just… fire the entire ICE and then hire a new INS.
the thing about “ICE needs training” is that Jonathan Ross was a ten year DHS vet and a firearms instructor

he’s the kind of guy they get training from

the whole institution is rotten, throw it out
Democrats officially going all in on the mealy mouthed “ICE needs training” narrative.

No. ABOLISH ICE.
