Just finished path of radiance on nso, not gonna lie playing without speedup was really painful the game is slower and easier than I remember lol.

Pretty cool how the mounted units are super powerful and fun characters like always horse be peak

Int not working was part of the design, the programmer clearly wanted red mage to be the best mage(he was based for this)

the fact that Final Fantasy 1 was made by one of the greatest programmers alive, who could reach into his mind palace over a phone call and point to the exact line of code to change to fix a problem, and the INT stat *still* doesn't do anything, implies that maybe you can't prevent this stuff.

Thinking about the sketch thing and old buggy games and like how half of every 2d Final Fantasy simply Didn't Work, like... Outrage over day one patches might be the strangest thing. Like the extremes suck, but it's mostly a good thing???

battle network 5 replay done, incoming yap sesh
it's hard to put into words exactly why i don't think bn5 is *as* peak as i expected it to be, even during the start of my playthrough i was really excited over it. i need to clarify i still think this game is quite amazing, like it's a 9/10 for me but i think i'm just stumped over why i feel this way. i guess it's like, a matter of the game veerryy slowly but surely wearing out on me? it definitely felt like it started to drag just a bit. and there's things in the game that had me feeling like it was a drag. and that upsets me more because bn5 has so much going for it to make a battle network experience not feel retread-y considering how it has 5 dungeons AND 6 liberation missions. with that amount of main-story diversity surely progression wouldn't feel like it's stretching itself too thin right??? no apparently. the fact that they put so many internet revisits back to back feels absolutely unnecessary when you already have so much else of the game to do. it's like they wanted to make the experience as long as possible just because unlike a previous game like bn3 where they just genuinely had no space. they very much could have gotten away with not making you do oran a billion times at the start. or revisiting oldmine for some reason? thrice in the story? and then when you get to end area you already know the drill. i think the fun of usual bn jack-in routing to internet areas whenever ur backtracking is sort of non-existent here. that doesn't help at all. e.g. you'll have to go to oran area yet they DEMAND you go through acdc area all the way to oran as opposed to just jacking in through oran area in the real world. also the areas themselves being pretty large, with a larger encounter rate probably adds up to make it not sit so well with me. the combat is really fun still but when it comes to deck building damn that absence of v2/3 viruses in the game starts to show. NOT because the game ISNT built for you to handle everything with v1 chips

To me allowing self expression is one of the most important things a game can do and my favorite games are typically the ones that reward you for engaging with all its mechanics and looking cool while doing it

もともと原作プレイ時からの推しクラスが武装商船団で、人魚イベントでは必ず彼らの一人（特にマゼラン）と添い遂げさせていたためリベサガになってもその傾向は変わらず、さらに今回踊り子が実装されたことで「ワ～！人魚ちゃんと陸でデートできる！！」と、彼らとくっつける事に何のためらいもなくなったのであった…（※今までのあらすじ）
