Funny story. In Venezuela, TV didn't go color until 77. This wasn't due to technical limitations, it was all political; nobody even made B&W transmitters by then. So they'd run the signal through some filters to drain all the chrominance out.
But Star Trek was so loud, the red shone through.

Had to dig into this. ReSaurus made a line of Street Fighter toys in 1998/1999 based on Alpha 3... and they also made a toy for the 1998 Godzilla movie... So maybe these pictures were specifically to promote the SF toy line and they threw in a picture of another toy they made?

I have not trusted game reviews since 2008 beyond, at most, "describing the mechanics of the video game". I have found so much wonder by trusting myself instead of parroting, and you should too.
more than "you should play bad games because a maligned game might be good" i would prefer if the positive contrarian dogma was "you should play games that genuinely interest you regardless of what other people think" because holy shit the former leads to a lot of turning your misery into Content
