I am not one of those animals that takes a picture during a screening so trust me when I say getting to see Anna May Wong's face luminous and several yards high is as close as I get to a religious experience.
Song (1928). Anna May Wong shines in this weepie from Germany. Seeing how expressive, alive and actively present in every moment she is on screen is to be reminded yet again of everything structural racism takes away from us.

Read every word & share with everyone you know. This is real life here in Chicago. Americans need to know this grotesque reality & stand with us.
Kyle Kingsbury is not a journalist. He is not an op-ed writer.

He is a computer safety researcher.

And he has written one of the most compelling, comprehensive accounts of the ongoing hell in Chicago that you could possibly imagine.

In under 1600 words.

What do you do when one of your lead actors storms off set and ruins the ending of your movie? You wander around the Ravenna docks and invent a weirdly anti-climactic sequence that will haunt people’s dreams forever. Anti-fouling paint and toxic sludge have never been so mesmerising. #filmsky

U.S. District Judge Sara Ellis, who is still ruling, indicates a preliminary injunction is on the way.
After going through several incidents since the start of Operation Midway Blitz — like the ones above — Judge Ellis says, "those are the factual findings that I'm making to support this preliminary injunction."

Not to replace substance with message but I genuinely do not think that the GOP establishment is prepared, nor capable, of regulating itself in a world where all high profile democrats are directly staring into a camera and telling Trump to go fuck himself.
