Donald Trump’s approach to the world is not the isolationism that many of his supporters celebrated when he returned to office—it’s “a narcissistic form of unilateralism that says, loudly, I can do whatever I want, whenever and however I want to do it,” @sbg1.bsky.social writes.
Why Donald Trump Wants Greenland (and Everything Else)
There’s no Trump Doctrine, just a map of the world that the President wants to write his name on in big gold letters.

In fascist ideology, the leaders personified an epochal continuum establishing a direct link, a unitary front with the people and the nation. In turn, the leader was the ultimate source of popular sovereignty, responsible only to himself. From my book, The Wannabe Fascists, p. 75

A: "Because I felt I wasn't doing enough...It's sort of unfair to be saying to Democratic office holders, 'You need to do more! You need to do more!,' It's easy to lob stuff in from the sidelines. So, I'm putting it all on the line."

This was a tragedy that demands an independent investigation, not political spin.

We now have video footage from multiple angles that contradicts the administration’s story about the horrific Minnesota shooting. Trump himself wasn’t even aware when the NYT told him.

JD Vance supports murdering American citizens. He's made that perfectly clear today. If he's willing to defend the murder of Renee Good, he would defend your murder, too.

But, this is also a sign of desperation.

He knows. They know - except for their MAGA core just watching their edited frames, everyone else knows the objective reality.

Um, you're not allowed to go door-to-door hoping to randomly find someone violating the law. You need a warrant. That's is basic Constitutional shit.

A Republican elected official proudly declaring he has no problem with agents of the state shooting unarmed citizens in the face if they annoy the regime.

It is impossible to make democracy work with a party that not only tolerates people like this, but elevates them to positions of influence.

It's time to state clearly that if MAGA and Republicans can't condemn any part of this shooting, continue to blame the victim for it, and even hint that it's a just outcome that others "deserve," that's a crossing of the line that the rest of us won't ever be able to forget.
