My brain: I just want to be good at drawing/painting/sculpting whimsical little creatures.

Also my brain: But I can't start this process until I have everything I need to do it perfectly!

The world needs our action, but it also needs our joy. Please don’t shame people for finding beauty or passion amidst the struggle. Joy isn't a distraction; it’s the fuel we need to keep going. Living as well as we can is a form of resistance, too. We can hold space for both.

Take a moment to lower your blood pressure with this one.
This bobtail squid burrowing into the sand is already adorable, but please watch till the very end!

It sticks out its little arms and earnestly sprinkles sand over itself 🦑𓂃◌𓈒𓐍

Growth on BlueSky is a different game than growth on Twitter and I have not mastered it yet.

Can't say I mastered Twitter, but sometimes I would end up connected with amazing people just because of a few funny things I typed once, or an advocacy thread. And I miss that serendipity.

The podcast episode I was on was released 3 months ago and I'm still hearing from people from all sorts of nooks & crannies of my life that they heard it 😭 A highlight of the year, for sure.

All I want for Christmas is a Staples easy-button style thing that will sing the Gamechangers to-do list song when I check something off. I would keep it in my office and encourage people to use it.

Everyone I know has said air-frying makes things sooo much crispy-er, but every time I air fry something it is distinctly not crispy? What am I missing?

The way I hoard different kinds of rewards programs points is wild, but also I'm determined to finally reach status on at least one of them someday. This probably means the marketing is working on me 😅

I've never wanted a record player, except for the purposes of exclaiming "oh I do love the Victrola!" like I'm in a Tennessee Williams play

This time of year is the most difficult to accept plain water when choosing a beverage. It's just not festive enough. Give me punch, give me tea, fill my carafe with cocoa! It's the optimum season for treats, damn it!

The weather has made it impossible for my body to follow through on social obligations this weekend, so my brain is pulling this strategy to make me feel bad about it, calling me a flake. I do not recommend.
You don't ruin good things, by the way. Just in case you have Trauma Brain f*cking w/ you today to the tune of "you ruin everything you touch." It does that-- & it doesn't actually care if you ruin things.

It's just trying to get you to feel like garbage. It does that.

I remember getting to college and being VERY distraught when I realized people who wrote like this could still pass classes. My high school went hard on writing essays and I could never have turned this in, let alone in college.
This reads like a 4th graders "what I did on summer vacation" assignment. My sister in christ, you didn't get a 0 because of discrimination. You got a 0 because you can't write for shit and have the intellectual curiosity of an oven mitt. This is a COLLEGE LEVEL CLASS.
