We’re proud to see one of our volunteers’ voices included in this important new research.
Studies like this are vital in helping to uncover inequalities, improve understanding, and shape better care for people living with metastatic breast cancer.

I'm on a CoPilot test at my institution, and it will draw on documents in my OneDrive - alongside external sources like research papers - and the outputs often intertwine these so it's hard to know where the content is really coming from. There may be ways to improve this, but its not intuitive

That reads like the opening monologue of a sci-fi disaster movie, which is about to jump into a scene of astronauts scrambling into suits as all the lights on their control panels start flashing at once

Found Zotero 8 truly excellent in my writing/research period this morning. Working brilliantly and the new citation dialog is SO snappy. Love it.

This is a core piece of research infrastructure without which I would be distraught!

I'm not going to share the PDF, but in the 20 minutes between hearing about this product and me testing it out I have been able to create a plausible, well-formatted cell biology manuscript including title, introduction, detailed methods, data and even author declarations (!) - using about 8 prompts

Reposting to the #ResearchIntegrity thread to see if anyone would like to take a look at these #PubPeer comments on a nanoparticle review paper
I commented on @PubPeer on "Advances in nanomaterial-mediated CRISPR/Cas delivery: from lipid nanoparticles to vesicle-derived systems" https://doi.org/10.3389/fbioe.2025.1669104, that got published today.

I don't do this often, and even hesitant to post here. But I have some questions […]

#GenerativeAI issues aside, there is a lesson here about data management and security in research

Institutional data management/information governance tools & policies might be awkward/clunky/old etc - but they exist to provide secure and verified ways to store *all* research data and notes

Nice explainer video from #BBCVerify on watermarks in #AI generated videos:

I didn't know that creators were cropping out, covering up or blurring out these pop-up watermarks from tools like #SORA - helpful to know and look out for

Now at #REDSConference2026 we have a publisher panel givin tips on getting research published. Gina Walker says if a paper is rejected, start working on something else for a bit, but don't give up on the rejected one, keep trying other places to get it out. Rejections are normal and common!

"...not every bubble is created equal. Some bubbles leave behind something productive."

A pragmatic and (relatively) positive ending to a thought-provoking essay from Cory Doctorow in @theguardian.com on where things might go with #GenerativeAI - I particularly liked the section on copyright
AI companies will fail. We can salvage something from the wreckage | Cory Doctorow
AI is asbestos in the walls of our tech society, stuffed there by monopolists run amok. A serious fight against it must strike at its roots
