When Bluesky restored my hacked accounts, they did not lift the restriction on posting videos. The support team took two weeks to get my response telling them what happened, and now I have to wait until they read the further info I gave them. So no new (or old) videos here for a long while, I guess.

A blue beast voiced by John Goodman moved from the city of Monstropolis into human territory. Sound familiar? Well, this one brought his wife and kids. This sitcom-style campaign for Sky+ ran through the last third of 2010 and saw this fuzzy family adjusting to British life.

Reminded me that there's a certain John Goodman-voiced beast from the city of Monstropolis I've been dying to post here...
In Japan, tourism to Portland, Oregon, is promoted by a grinning blue monster named Odnarodude. He’s at a Portland artisan event in Jiyugaoka De Aone this weekend.

This mouse hula-hooped his way into UK audiences' hearts to sell the aerated chocolate as "all bubble, no squeak." Ads saw his breed sold alongside Aero bars, only to be rejected or disposed of despite their talents. For Aero Honeycomb, a Taiwanese singing mouse was introduced.

Sunny D
2003-2005
A boy who only ate fruit and veg, declaring his love for spinach and sprouts to the shock or annoyance of others. Not only did a solely healthy child being depicted as friendless concern parents, but Sunny D, the so-called "healthy" soft drink, was ridden with additives.

Sunshine Chip-A-Roos (circa 1971-1996): Chocolate chip cookies from Sunshine Bakery, released to directly compete with Chips Ahoy, touting that they were made with "100% real vegetable shortening, not lard!" as their selling point. Discontinued when Sunshine was acquired by Keebler.

This little fella also came to mind when I remembered a certain other cool purple cat, of whom I hope to cover in the next few weeks, and I couldn't resist giving him a spot. If you'd like to see more of him, here's the first online Summer Sizzler brochure I could find on the Wayback Machine:

Loopy Bee
Kellogg's Honey Loops
1988-2013
A Jonathan Kydd-voiced, loop-de-looping daredevil bee, often seen tempting preoccupied kids with Honey Loops or diving into trouble on his way to the cereal. After 18 years away from TV, he was replaced with Pops, the bee mascot for Miel Pops across Europe.

Nesta Cool
1998-2004
A stop-motion skeletal snowman, initially handled by Bolexbrothers and later by Mike Mort, who would show up on a hot day as nothing but bones and sticks until he drank Nestea's iced tea, which covered his skeleton in snow and helped him stay cool, at least for a while.
