Edging ever so close to an artificially inflated 6,000 follower milestone because Gazan people are repeatedly setting up accounts trying to reach me. I am so sorry, but it's gotten to a point where I have to block them again. I will continue to do the best I can to help Palestinians in need, though.
Advice for Gazan followers:
•I cannot donate or do WhatsApp
•for your account’s safety, please only like or reply to this post for urgent requests, not my other posts
•please DM me if I followed you back

Showcase replacing the box office with auto kiosks and leaving the harder work to cashiers at the concession stand takes away a key social aspect of the cinema. I easily made friends at the box office. Cannot blame the cashiers but most of them haven’t been properly trained to manage ticket bookings

With the GKIDS rollouts just announced, I believe the films of Bruno Bozzetto would be ripe for a second life in the UK if we weren’t so allergic to international animation

GOAT sees Sony taking furry spectacle and sports animation to the next level, doing a ton of heavy lifting for what reeks of a debut script; it’s so frantic that the titular underdog gets lost in it all. Still, there are great visual gags aplenty and the characters are too enjoyable not to root for.

Little Amélie spectacularly paints the confusion, curiosity and euphoria of toddlerhood that would inspire one to be an artist, while culminating generations of French animators taking after the Japanese masters, passing that adoration onto the future. Sentimentality be darned, it’s a miracle.

Tickets for The Day the Earth Blew Up cost only £5.99! It's a much better film than what usually costs that much!
Your children are going to be spoiled for choice this weekend:
- The Day the Earth Blew Up, which we have been holding out on for too long
- Little Amélie, which is inarguably what your kids *should* be seeing
- Stitch Head, the blandest of the four but has an irresistible idiosyncratic charm

Amazed that Bad Apples got delayed five months considering the trouble I had trying to get myself into one of last year's screenings and how London basically screwed me over when I did get to see it
#LFF
Bad Apples surprisingly works! What initially presents itself as basic discomfort develops into something sly, complex and unabashedly silly, which ingeniously flips Ronan’s gentle image on its head. Succeeds as a satire on discipline in the UK because honestly, where would *you* stand on this?

Yugo’s action experience often rubs off on Nemurubaka, despite it gravitating toward the roomie slice-of-life joys of Baby Assassins. Recalls just about every interest, aspiration and peril gen Z could face without dating itself; tragic, funny and may leave you fuming at the music industry.

Orbs
Npower
2005-2010

Needing to draw appeal to their brand, Npower introduced two friendly orbs as their mascots - one embodying electricity, the other gas - who were paired happily together as customers' pets. Outside of advertising, Npower let Britons "adopt" the orbs in the form of plush toys.

“Four of my children just evaporated,” Badran said, holding back tears. “I looked for them a million times. Not a piece was left. Where did they go?”

There are no words to adequately describe the evil here.
Israel used weapons in Gaza that made thousands of Palestinians evaporate
US-made thermal weapons burning at 3,500C caused 2,842 people to "evaporate" in Gaza, Al Jazeera investigation finds.

Hamlet - Riz Ahmed heightens his Lord Hamlet into a man who truly sees ghosts. Aneil Karia’s elevated psychological thriller answer to the Bard, though, for all its inspired revisions, turns out a grimy yet strange effort and in too little of the sense that it works. Wish I preferred this to Hamnet.

While cancelling Nitro is all well and good, just a reminder that age verification itself won't go away as a whole unless KOSA, the SCREEN Act, and tons more are buried and done with.

Please contact your reps if you don't want this to spread to other platforms.

Please continue to contact your representatives and urge them to:

-oppose age verification laws
-rescind existing AV laws
-protect peoples rights to use VPNs
-protect section 230
The failure of age-verification laws is now turning into a War on VPNs. The British government and a number of US states are now proposing that VPNs be banned entirely, or only accessible to those who have surrendered to facial scans, ID check and other identity verification.
'The UK war on VPNs is an embarrassment' – backlash grows over proposed VPN age-checks
Critics are warning against proposals to restrict VPN access — but will the plans actually become law?

ANGRY SQUAD - The One Cut of the Dead director’s Squad 38 film feels like the start of its own franchise, taking too much time to fulfil its genre promises. When it kicks into gear, it’s a ton of billionaire-taxing fun. Seiyo Uchino came straight out of the Leslie Nielsen school of mugging.

Girl and Boy
Swizzels Double Dip
1976-2025

An excited boy and girl appeared on packets of Swizzels' sherbet dips with Swizzelstick, and in the late 90's underwent a trendy, aged-up redesign. This of-its-time packaging barely changed until 2025, when the kids were finally wiped off of the packets.
