Palantir just lost $40 billion in market cap.

It just proves what we always knew - Palantir cannot survive in a peaceful world

Woo hoo!! 🥳
BREAKING: VICTORY! The Supreme Court cleared the way for California’s voter-approved Prop 50 maps to take effect in 2026 elections.

The Court left in place the ruling, rejecting claims of racial gerrymandering.

Proud to stand with @lulacorg.bsky.social in this fight.

Thoughts. No prayers.
Mitch McConnell has been hospitalized with flu-like symptoms.

On the one hand, he is the only Republican who voted against RFK Jr.’s nomination for HHS Secretary.

On the other hand, he is largely to blame for the current adverse government configuration.

"you don’t defeat authoritarians by being more reasonable. You defeat them by being more determined and by uniting the country against their most visible vulnerability: their corruption. History won’t judge Democrats on whether they were moderate enough. It will judge them on whether they fought"
This @bostonreview.bsky.social piece by @adambonica.bsky.social and @jakemgrumbach.bsky.social is an absolute must-read, as are many of the responses to it.

Me, I'm *all for* naming every urinal after trump. I mean, dried urine matches his color and texture. What a pisser!
“There will be no buildings named for Trump, no rest stops, not even a plastic urinal in a national park latrine. Nothing. All that will linger is disgrace and shame.”

And this was BEFORE the DOE was befouled by DeVos and McMahon. The US is a laughingstock, populated by far too many idiots.

The Larry Tate-level of suckupitude sycophants is just NUTS. Do these people absolutely not care if we lose our nation and freedoms? Because it's already started! Grow a fücking backbone, a$$holes. 😠
Just stop it. Stop treating him as One Special Boy & just draw the line. It's illegal. It's unconstitutional. It's wildly endangering national security. It should end his presidency. We don't need cost/benefit analyses & arguments about persuasion. Enough.
“Lebensraum: is it prudent fiscal policy?”

🤷‍♂️🤦‍♂️

Again, one thing I was completely wrong about is that I believed there was a baseline level of professional pride & integrity below which supposedly serious journalists would not sink in the face of the far right authoritarianism.

Excellent advice! 👇
DHS was created to FIGHT terrorists, not to BE terrorists. It needs to be defunded by congress in 2027, and we should select candidates who run on that platform.

💯 truth. Do it!
If RFKJ truly wanted gold standard science and innovation, he would use the power of the govt to end the pay-to-play scientific publishing.

Go ahead Bobby. We dare you.

Indeed. And some learn the lesson sooner than others.
I think Americans are realizing that democracy is a participation sport, and the the government is ours if we want it to be. I feel like we got complacent and hoped some other third party would do the work for us. Seems like we have to learn that lesson every generation.
